You Abundance

I’d sneak up on you
eating a fresh egg salad
sandwich for breakfast,

Rome coming to life
around you. This memory
courtesy of grief.

Plato says Eros
was conceived by Lack upon
Abundance. I get

that image now, my
lack satisfied once more by
your fresh egg sandwich.
