My inner weather,
between the Pacific coast
and the Cascades, has
its moments. Gusts re-
mind me of that swarm of bees
in Dante return-
ing to the sweet hive.
A moment’s relief from the
sad political
reality of
will-to-power, without care
for the least of these,
starting with Earth. Mind-
lessness. For now, until the
Big One, be mindful.
