At home I watch the
light. Low clouds. A hot stiff wind.
Trees glitter and thrash.
The Fourth of July,
Independence Day. I want
to sit in public,
drink coffee and read,
like any other day. I
want to read more Mar-
cus Aurelius,
a real man. Our President
thinks life’s a cockfight,
his Amor Fati
is his will to power, lust,
cruelty. Nietzsche.
I want to live this
moment like all the others,
yes to the logos.
