Out of the blue crack
of thunder, sizzle of light-
ning, torrent of rain—-
to be expected,
Rhode Island in July. My
metaphysical
state. My finitude
released like the sound, the light,
the water, and un-
like, the difference
being that of me on my
way somewhere unknown.
