Being Together

Getting over you
is proving harder than hand-
books let me believe.

I entrusted you
to Nothingness, the same that
streaks each mortal bloom.

Unripe peaches at
the grocers have stopped me cold.
I am about to

say something when an
ellipsis completes my thought,
at which point my self

becomes a sign of
being’s surplus. Just to me,
others look away.
