Humans want contact.
They lean down to pet me and
try to hold my gaze.
Then they disappear.
Augenblick is their game and
the blink of an eye
their oblivion.
The instant connection they
seek moves away and
moves constantly. I
have rivers and mountains in
me. Eternity’s
sunrise lights up
my being. In kind faces
I see what they want.
