Sometimes in the night
I roll out of bed to put
an end to something
begun in daylight.
It’s as if there are two sides
to the creative
act. One we control
and one we give into. O,
I do not mean God.
Something beyond God.
God is love, complicated.
This is so simple.
Before you know it
the page shows what you can’t know
in so many words.
