Apostrophe

Between the ‘of’ of
the love of God and God’s love
falls a shadow. I

consult my grammar—-
‘apostrophe’—-and my life.
I am no seeker,

a sedentary,
at most a lover of truth,
a doubter of words.

When I do my work
seeking and finding become
parts of the same thing,

and if I’m ever
translated I hope the powers-
that-be feel likewise.
