The far-away look
on the clouds above the waves
coming toward us,
as soon withdrawing.
Man is the measure, it’s said.
Tell that to the clouds.
We are and are not
a part of this world, though we
think we think the whole.
The whole is the gift
of beauty. Just look.
You’ll shake with cold and in time
beauty will shake you.
