Waking from Grief

Sometimes you wake from
your deep grief, from your ‘sleep of
finitude.’ Coffee

smells good again. No-
thing has really changed, the
first sip is too hot.

Things communicate
their familiar dodgy selves.
Between sameness and

otherness, music
plays with your sense of who you
are. You hum along.

Infinity is
community, and includes
both living and dead.
