Today on the path down
to the water I ran in-
to a couple I’d
known at the tea house
from before. A beautiful
couple. Today we
could say nothing but
looked hard, kept going. Or they
kept going, I looked
out over the bay.
In the distance the ducks clucked
away as they do.
